Back After a Long Absence…Wordless Wednesday

It’s been several weeks since I last posted on this site, partly due to laziness, but also due to landing a new full-time job as an editor in Bangkok. The job is really interesting and I feel lucky to have secured it. I spend my working day monitoring Twitter for breaking news, reading news articles, and editing reports on news stories. The work is definitely improving my knowledge of current affairs, and can be quite fast-paced when the world is eventful.
After 8 hours in the office, my first priority is heading to the gym for my fix of Muay Thai, after which there aren’t too many hours left in the day for blogging, though I’m probably making excuses for my lack of discipline when it comes to my own writing.
Recently, fellow blogger Niamh Griffin (Inspiring Sports Women) introduced me to a concept called Wordless Wednesday, and it seems anyone with a blog or website is free to contribute. As you can guess from the name, the idea is to publish a word-free post every Wednesday, linking to this site and leaving a comment on at least one other Wordless Wednesday post. I think even I can just about manage to prepare a non-written post once a week, and it seems a good way of connecting with the blogging community.
When browsing through photos on my computer for a potential Wordless Wednesday post, one seemed to leap out of my screen at me. It shows my former trainer Pet cornering fighter Pragaipet Eminent Air at Thepprasit Stadium in Pattaya, and was taken by my friend Huong Tran in 2011. Pet has been in my thoughts lately as the second anniversary of his death approaches, so it seems apt to use a photo that includes him in my first ever Wordless Wednesday post, shown below.
